TABLE has run a week-long day camp twice each summer for the last few years. Each week kids go to Wildflower Lane Farm for a day and participate by working on whatever needs to be done that day at the farm. After a short tour and a Q&A session with Jim, they plant, prep beds, pick produce, and package everything to take back to TABLE. Along the way they find time to make salsa and pizza in the outdoor kitchen from freshly picked peppers and tomatoes. They are generally surprised to learn how much produce they just picked and prepared for delivery, usually between $2000-$3,000, which is then packed into vans for delivery to TABLE and distribution to food recipients the next morning.
